DAY 01: CUSCO / MIRADOR LODGE IN THE HIGH AMAZON JUNGLE
Pick up from your hotel in an all-terrain car to travel through the mountains. We will visit communities like Paucartambo and Ninamarca. Entrance to Manu National Park. Walk inside Bosque Nublado to appreciate the famous “Cock of the Rocks”. Night stay at Mirador Lodge.
DAY 02: MIRADOR LODGE / HUMMINGBIRD LODGE IN BOCA MANU
Walk in the high Amazon jungle to touristic port Atalaya where we will board the boat towards Boca Manu. Path exploration looking for wild pigs (peccary). Night walks.
DAY 03: HUMMINGBIRD LODGE / CASA MATSIGENKA LODGE
Expedition through Manu River to go to the touristic area of Manu Reserve, heart of the biological diversity. Visit to Otorongo Lake. Arrival to lodge Casa Matsigenka to stay the night.
DAY 04: CASA MATSIGENKA LODGE IN THE HEART OF MANU RESERVED AREA
Walk through the primary jungle towards Salvador Lake. Catamaran trip to watch the wonderful wild fauna of the area. Return to lodge to taste a typical lunch from Manu. Sailing through Manu River. Walk in the primary jungle to appreciate closely the huge trees and fauna. Night Walk.
DAY 05: CASA MATSIGENKA LODGE / PAKITZA IN THE HEART OF MANU RESERVED AREA
We will board a boat and plow through Manu River to Pakitza in the Matsigenka Lake looking for the jaguar. Visit to hidden platform where the mammals’ collpa is located to watch the tapir, monkeys, among others. Camping in platform.
DAY 06: CASA MATSIGENKA LODGE / PANKOTSI LODGE
We will go down Manu River to Boca Manu where we will stop to enjoy drinks. Then we will go to our ecological lodge Pankotsi, where we will be welcomed by the Shipitiari village families. Interaction with settlers to learn their amazon culture abilities.
DAY 07: PANKOTSI LODGE / MIRADOR LODGE
Visit to thermal waters. Arrival to Atalaya port. Return by bus from Atalaya to Pilcopata. Night stay at lodge.
DAY 08: MIRADOR LODGE / CUSCO
Return to Cusco city. On the way we will make several stops to enjoy the colorful “Cock of the Rocks” one more time.
